MWahid Chammas is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of TyreGate Capital Holdings, LTD, a wholly owned Principal Holding Company of the Chammas Family Office. TyreGate is also a Private Equity and Activist Public Equity Asset Management Corporation that may be appointed to act under specific private mandates from investors (individuals or pooled investment vehicles) in private placements and other advisory services. Wahid is also Co-Founder and Managing Director of Real Estate Distressed Investments SAL, which is a private equity holding company that invests in distressed real estate in Cyprus and specializes in the purchase of non-performing bank loan portfolios from Cypriot and Greek banks.
Wahid is a shareholder and Managing Partner of The Luxury Fund which, together with its affiliated entities Azure Fund and TLF Ventures, invests in a diversified range of private and public securities issued by companies with global premier brand names in the luxury goods and services sectors. Most recently, Wahid served as Global Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Sapinda Holding B.V., a privately-owned Principal Investment Holding company focused on special situation investment opportunities across Continental Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Previously, Wahid was Managing Director and Portfolio Manager responsible for managing the Janus European Equity and Janus Emerging Markets Equity strategies. Wahid established Janus’ investment presence in Europe in 2008 and sat on the European Management Committee. He was recognized in Financial News (Dow Jones) as a Rising Star, 40 Under 40 in Asset Management, and has been highly rated on numerous occasions by Citywire. Previously, he was also an equity securities analyst, primarily focused on Janus’ investments in the leisure and consumer sectors globally.
Prior to joining Janus in January 2005, he spent eight years at Goldman, Sachs, & Co., where he was a Vice President and Equity Securities Analyst, covering the media sector. Wahid joined Goldman Sachs’ Investment Research Division as a Vice President in 2002 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he served as the Chief-of-Staff for the U.S. distribution group, supporting strategic planning and management activities across the Asset Management Division. Wahid was one of the youngest professionals ever to serve as an inter-divisional Chief-of-Staff. Prior to that, he worked in both institutional sales and the fixed income product management team.
Wahid received his bachelor of arts degree in biology from Amherst College, where he graduated with highest distinction honors, Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude. He also conducted research and spent time at the University of Michigan Medical School and Harvard University. He was awarded two Howard Hughes Fellowships and the James R. Elster Award for outstanding achievement in Biology.

Since 1994 he has been one of the marketing communications strategists behind the re-positioning and growth of IMAX and IMAX 3D from a destination experience to one of Hollywood’s most prominent release platforms for event motion pictures. In recent years Newman has become a sought-after resource by high-profile filmmakers and production companies to oversee the marketing and distribution of their major motion pictures. Projects represented include the mega-hit 300, amongst others. Over his extensive career in Hollywood, Alfred has represented a broad spectrum of clients that includes IMAX Corporation, MGM/UA, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Releasing International, Relativity Media, Odd Lot Entertainment, Miramax Films, The Canton Company, Artists Production Group, Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Lionsgate Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, New Line Cinema, Turner Entertainment, Cecchi Gori Pictures, Hollywood Gang Productions, Amicus Entertainment, Panavision, MaxiVision Cinema Technology, Technicolor and the prestigious Berlin and Venice Film Festivals. As well he was founding Managing Director of Hill and Knowlton's Worldwide Entertainment Division, Executive Vice President - Worldwide Marketing of Management Company Entertainment Group, Inc. and President and CEO of Sterling Entertainment Company, MCEG's marketing services subsidiary.
Chady Eli Mattar - CEO
Chady, a Lebanese born filmmaker, has produced content for the MBC, O3 and Signature Productions throughout the Middle East (Lebanon, Dubai, Jordan, Bahrain) and in Europe before moving to Los Angeles, being the first Middle Eastern ever to attend the world renowned American Film Institute where he met partner Scott Silver. Mr. Mattar graduated from Notre Dame University with BAs in both Advertising & Marketing and Radio / TV. He also received an MA in Film Production from ALBA School Of Arts jointly with INA & TV5 in Paris. He then went on to earn an MFA in producing from The American Film Institute. Chady line produced UK's number one TV motor show, Top Gear, for the Middle East Broadcasting Corporation and is also credited as Production Manager for one of the Euro‐Med series of documentaries about the Middle East, The Influence of Europe on the Arab-Israeli Conflict. Chady has worked for industry icons such as Mark Canton (“300,” “Immortals”) and Scott Rudin (“There Will Be Blood,” “No Country For Old Men”) as well as Relativity Media, Warner Brothers, and The Walt Disney Company. He then went on and co-founded Silvatar Media with Scott C. Silver.

Mr. Silver is an American born filmmaker who is an award winning Motion Picture Editor and a veteran in post-production with over eight years of experience. He worked at one of Boston’s premiere post houses before moving to Los Angeles. Mr. Silver comes from a line of entrepreneurs that has taken him on business to China, Mexico, Canada and various parts of the Orient. Mr. Silver has a degree in Film and Business from the prestigious Clark University and an MFA in Film Editing from the world-renowned American Film Institute. Mr. Silver has learned the art of story telling from the inside out giving him an exceptional eye for great projects. He has been mentored by industry icons such as Rick Rosenthal, Howard E. Smith, and Lynzee Kingman to name a few. With the backing of his newly founded company, Silvatar Media, Mr. Silver and Mr. Mattar are making a big impact on the film industry.
